To Ron Forrest on behalf of the Governing Board.
Ron ,
It is evident from the sample of emails circulating that once again the
parents, students and staff have not been at all involved in what is the
single most significant long term decision facing the Foundation.
The Board absolutely must recognise this oversight.
I would very strongly urge that the most prudent decision for the Board on
24th October is to set up a process for involvement of all parties to then
allow an informed decision to be made in due course.
The discussion over new campus has been running for at least 2 years to my
knowledge - another few weeks will not prejudice the decision process.
If the Board still cannot see the harm it is bringing by such uninclusive
decsion making , then the Board should expect the parents , students and
staff to react to the evident lack of confidence in the decision making
processes adopted by the Board.
I would be more than pleased to discuss this with you or any members of the
Board.
yours,
Henry Birt.
