URGENT MESSAGE TO ALL PARENTS AND TEACHERS OF LA CHÂTAIGNERAIE

October 12th, 2000

Substantial decisions will be taken on the 24th of October 2000, by the Governing Board of the Foundation, regarding a major reorganization of the Campuses’ locations.

This will especially affect the students of La Châtaigneraie. There has been no consultation with the teaching staff on this and neither with the parent body at large.

In order to have objective information on the possible transferring of 10th to 13th grades to a new campus at Grand Saconnex (Geneva), we the parent and teachers have the power to request an extraordinary consultative general assembly (article 16.3b of the regulation of the governing Board of the foundation). Therefore postponing any immediate decision prior to a vote.

The timing is obviously once more unfortunate. The school break intervenes and the 23rd is taken by pedagogical day.

We strongly advise you to sign and return the attached slip as the DEADLINE IS THIS TUESDAY 24TH, OCTOBER 2000 for calling the Extraordinary Assembly to which we can all attend. If you have already signed the petition circulating in school, we thank you for your concern and ask you to refrain from signing below.
