On the 18 September the 90th birthday of Mrs Grace Hearn was celebrated at the Anthonys. Mrs Hearn arrived in Geneva in 1959 when her husband was appointed as Physics teacher. He died in 1961 at the end of year ball in the School. Mrs Hearn then joined the Boarding House as an assistant where she remained until 1982. She also worked in the library over many years. She has perhaps established a record of association with the school. Her husband taught there for 2 years, she worked there for 21 years - her daughter Sue Hearn-Anthony has worked there for 37 years (and is still there !), her son-in-law Eric worked there for 34 years, and her two grandsons each spent 15 years there. 124 years total - anyone better that? In spite of her 90 years, she is very fit, healthy and youthfull.
